Hofmann, Josef Casimir

Josef Casimir Hofmann (originally Józef Kazimierz Hofmann). Born 1876 in Podgórzr, near Krakow, Austria-Hungry (now Poland). Died 1957 in Los Angeles. He was a Polish-American virtuoso pianist, composer, music teacher and inventor. He used the pseudonym Michel Dvorsky for some of his early compositions. Considered by some as the greatest pianist of the 20th century.

Some of these works are also available on IMSLP [detailed against each opus number where applicable] – in some cases I have posted my own copy, as may be deemed a better or cleaner copy than that held on IMSLP. For example, the Three Impressions – Nos. 1 & 2 my copies I think are better than on IMSLP, whilst their No. 3, I believe to be a better copy than mine. Plus I have inlcuded a number of new works not previously available. Your choice on what you wish to download.
