For lito valle, who's obviously a fan of Eugene Bozza's. I got to see this wonderful little work performed a few years ago by some faculty members of a local conservatory. I think there's only one recording of this piece, as part of a disc of 'previously unrecorded reed trio music' by the TreVent Wind Trio:

Any other Bozza pieces would be most welcome. He certainly wrote a lot of them.

A while ago, I posted a comment to say that interested flautists should check out the unusual (for the time) flute quartet by
Léon Kreutzer.
It turns out that a new, typeset edition of this has been prepared and can be found/purchased at the link below:

Hope it's still available as, from what I can tell from reading contemporary articles, it caused quite a flutter of conversation for its ingenuity.
Saxophone Quartets

Hi all
Further to my above post, I'm delighted to say that the Saxophone Quartet by Léon Kreutzer has recently been rediscovered in the BnF in Paris.
It looks like this Quartet was the second EVER composed in that genre, and must have been one of the composer's last works. He seems to have only completed one movement.
I've ordered a reproduction, so I hope it will soon appear at Gallica/IMSLP and interested members can check it out for themselves.

Copied from Music for Flute thread:

It delighted the audiences who had the privilege of hearing it in the mid-1800s, not only because of the unusual scoring (for the time), but because it seems to have been masterly written for the medium.
For anyone interested, I have midified the first movement of Léon Kreutzer's
Quatuor de Flûtes on
YouTube.
A pleasant piece, not demanding, and with a few nice harmonic touches. The most straightforward of the work's four movements I would venture.
