I thought that it might be useful to have a thread dedicated to links to websites of composers.
The idea is simply for members to hyperlink the homepage URLs of any composer sites which they
find and would recommend to others. The sort of sites I have in mind are specialist biographical ones
which yield more information than the general ones of the Wikipedia type. Also, composer fan club
sites and composer society sites would also be most welcome.

Thank you Arjuna. I just hope that this new thread doesn't soon hibernate,
like most of my others seem to have done!
Not only should it perhaps produce some interesting links, but also it might
provide insight into who really likes which composers.
To be honest, the Bortkiewicz link was recommended by 'Sir Francis Walsingham'.
The others were (although easy enough to find through Google),
and all reflect my ultra-keenness on those particular composers!

Indeed it was

Their ability to extract double-entendres from items sold in a hardware
shop was hilarious, although their Mastermind sketch, where RC had to
answer RB's question before last, was probably their most ingenious.

Thanks for posting the links Timtin, I had quite forgotten how brilliant the Mastermind sketch was, one of the best comedy partnerships of all time, if not the best. Peter Cook and Dudley Moore (relevancy link to Piphi, Moore was an organ scholar at Oxford as well as a damn good pianist) come tantalisingly close at times but the Two Ronnies are unsurpassed.

had their good bits, but also some bad bits. I refer, of course,
to Derek and Clive. This is the horse race sketch, for instance.
