Many thanks for your generous offer. If you don't mind, please add the Barbedette Consolation if you aren't scanning the entire volume. There are a couple of his piano pieces on IMSLP, as well as an English translation of "Stephen Heller: sa vie et ses œuvres." Here's the page from the 1919 edition of Baker's with a little biographical info. Could you tell us the title of this volume? No hurry for this.

The Song that reached my Heart

Post by Phillip210 »

I have just uploaded to IMSLP my score of Wilhelm Kuhe's attractive 1897 arrangement of Jules (or Julian) Jordan's 'The Song that reached my Heart', which you will shortly be able to find on this page: http://imslp.org/wiki/The_Song_that_Rea ... ,_Jules%29. Since this is an arrangement of a US ballad by a Czech emigre arranger resident in England, I am glad that the non-geographic Salon Music thread is available to discuss it. The piece also incorporates Sir Henry Bishop's 'Home, Sweet Home' as a coda!

Jean-Séb wrote:I certainly am interested. If it is too fastidious to scan the whole album (and I know it is fastidious), could you at least scan the following ones :
Galeotti Gavotte
Lack Madrigal
Wachs coquetterie
Frey Arioso
Behr Op. 116 - Chanson d'amour
Behr Op. 284 No. 03 - Fern von Heimathland
Thanks.
Great! Yes, time is needed, but consider it forthcoming! :)
