Hermann Ambrosius b. 1897, d. 1983 student of musicology and mathematics in Leipzig after participating in World War I
student of composition at "Akademie der Künste" in Berlin with Hans Pfitzner from 1923 , sound engineer at "Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk" and teacher at "Landes-Konservatorium für Musik" in Leipzig from 1926 , teacher, choir conductor and freelance artist from 1945
Compositions: mainly symphonies and works for orchestra, chamber orchestra and choir

Alfor, thanks for the Rangström and Zhuk - which contain many interesting ideas. The Ambrerosius piece doesn't seem to be all there, only got one page.
