Thank you musiclife217 and bingo for providing/locating all these scores!

To express my gratitude I am uploading a midi file I created for the Op. 31 Preludes.

This was transcribed by ear since I don't have the sheet music available to me but i feel like it is mostly accurate. Apologize for the quick speed for some sections.
Thank you, that is very nice, and amazing, indeed! Were you able to identify the piece in the video that you posted and/or contact the pianist? I am curious about this one.

Unfortunately I have not, I only discovered this video when searching pianophilia for Kessler, another user posted on here asking about the video and it caught my intrigue as well.

Hello!
I found a set of piano transcriptions by Nicolai von Wilm. Most likely the original pieces are Russian Romances. The publication seems to be Russian. The problem is that I don't speak Russian. Could anybody translate into English the cover titles of the book, as well as the index? Thanks in advance!

P.S. Link for the score:

Hi alex72gr

This is an album titled Fifty Russian Romances, transcribed by Wilm for piano solo. These are songs by a number of Russian composers - Varlemov, Dargomyzhsky, Rubinstein, Tchaikovsky, to name but a few, and I will translate, but give me a couple of days.

I'll also convert to pdf and combine the separate pages and will re-post here.

To save you some time Malcolm:
WILM Fifty Russian Romances (mono).pdf

EDIT: Renamed file,as I was under misapprehension that it had only the first 25.All 50 are there. Vol 1: 1-25,Vol.2 1-25
Also added final page with translated contents.

Note that the library document is just the first half of the set.
Strange Bingo , the file I downloaded from Polona has all 50 songs. I have done the translation (that was the easy bit) - it's pdf'ing the pages and combining that's the slow bit !!! About half way through. if I sent you the other half, could you weave your magic ?

More Kessler news...

Acte Prealable has recorded two albums of Kessler, including the Op. 31 preludes.

Also, more Kessler available on Polona. If anyone with an account can download, that would be great.

Still trying to identify that prelude! Evidently, it is from an opus that has yet to be re-discovered.
