Time to reactivate my thread from the old Forum: "Feuersnot" potpourri fresh from the scanner. Sorry, no time for research - who'd like to contribute informations about the arranger Mr. Regnis? The scan's first page may show us that this thread will have enough sources as long there is no paper crumbling disease.

Many thanks for this unknown (to me) R. Strauss! -

These two Puccini "arrangements" are for sure not the only ones existing; however I only have those, and would like to see more.

Well, German operettas often are sheer dadaism
Don't search for any sense in them

...and when the erudite and ever so serious klavierelch says that you better believe it.

Found this thread languishing amidst cobwebs on page 3......so here is a "transcription and variations on the celebrated 'Ah Che et morte' and Miserere from the opera Il Trovatore". I have no idea who was G A Osborne ???

George Alexander Osborne born in Limerick 1806, settled in London 1848, died 1893, composed mostly for piano, but also a few chamber works, no piano concerti though

Osborne was especially famous for salon music, in particular his Pluie de Perles.
