I today listened to some Josè F.Vasquez
I feel rather intrigued by his impresiones and the Preludios.
Can anybody help me out?

The December newsletter from Musica Brasilis included a retrospective for 2023 listing updates to their collection.

Creating an account is free, and from there you can easily download out-of-copyright sheets.

Alberto Nepomuceno (1864-1920)
Alberto Nepomuceno was already on the portal in 2022, but this year the 18 songs with orchestra were added, unmissable!

Chiquinha Gonzaga (1847-1935)
The female representative of this group of notables. We also added 153 pieces by the composer.

Euclides Fonseca (1853-1929)
Another incredible new feature are 14 pieces, including orchestral repertoire, by Euclides Fonseca, an exceptional composer from Recife. Do you know him?

Francisco Braga (1868-1945)
We also had 36 pieces by Francisco Braga, one of the main names in 20th century Brazilian music, for varied formations.

Glauco Velasquez (1884-1914)
40 works by Glauco Velasquez, considered a genius by his contemporaries, who died at the age of 30 from tuberculosis.

Henry Oswald (1852-1931)
52, by Henrique Oswald, winner of a competition in Paris with his composition “Il Neige”.

Leopoldo Miguez (1850-1902)
We added 35 pieces to Leopoldo Miguez's available repertoire, including 2 symphonic poems.

Paulino Chaves (1883-1948)
And finally, 72 works by Paulino Chaves, a composer born in Belém, still only known in his region.

Thank you. Nelson Friere recorded this work in his 2012 collection Brasileiro

There's a handful more works on IMSLP: https://imslp.org/wiki/Category:Barrozo ... t%C3%B4nio

Hi all,

For a long time I'm looking for some works by Brazilian composers:

1. Francisco Braga - Vols d'Oiseaux (piano version)
2. Sílvio Fróis (Froes) - Allegro, Op.20 no.5 (printed version)
3. Leopoldo Miguez - Minuete

These are really hard to find...

Any luck?

Many thanks in advance.
