Tchaikovsky - Nacar : Overture 1812
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RzK2e8jKikc
Leonard Slatkin's 1st compendium suite for Pictures at an Exhibition. That one, back in the late '80s and early '90s, gave people a first notion of how many orchestral possibilities there might be. In particular, Slatkin's 1st pastiche presented 9 different orchestrators.

Re: YouTube Finds
Have to say that I agree. I was initially impressed with what I saw and heard of her but have changed my mind. I bought her Rachmaninov and Prokofiev Concertos and couldn't understand why I was underwhelmed. Then I put on Volodos (then others) and realised what a gulf there is in terms of passion, drive and soul. I eagerly awaited her "Fantasia" disc only, once again, to be less than impressed by her readings and even occasional misreadings.
