Copyright by Boosey & Hawkes or Faber Music and fiercely protected. So it would not be a wise decision to post them here. Sorry. Imho Billy Budd is the finest, perhaps the most symphonic anyway (which to my mind is a good thing). So many to choose from, and not a dud amongst them (except perhaps the very early and untypical Paul Bunyan).
Yikes! Thanks for reminding me again the Copyright issues. Thanks for the advice !
Should make some orders now...
Dear friends! Have somebody any idea where might one find vocal score by Spontini`s Milton????
Petrucco have only orchestra.
Any library?
I even don`t hope there is moving PDF somewhere around.
Any hint will be highly preciated .
Nina
Spontini's scores, apart from 'La Vestale' are very rare. Vocal scores and even more piano solo scores were not published by Ricordi, probably because those opera were considered 'old' even at the time of Bellini and Rossini. So there wasn't a 'popular' diffusion of that music. Full scores are available in the main european libraries (many also in Italy) but copies will perhaps be made only thru digitalization, i.e. at very high prices. The most important resource should be the French NB in Paris (no catalogue online, in 2011 !!!)
Hello,
fellow pianophiliacs!
Attached is maybe the only source where the opera of Friedrich Himmel
"Il primo navigatore" is to be found.
Is there a friendly out there who could guide me along
about what are the procedures of getting a copy of this score?
Thank in advance,
Arglmann
