I am looking for Albéniz / Halffter "Rapsodia española for two pianos, or full score version
The place for pianophiles and music lovers everywhere - free downloads of very rare and out of print music for piano and other instruments

Do you mean this one? Not my scan, by the way.gchristian wrote: ↑Sat May 16, 2020 5:29 pm Dear friends,
Mompou elusive Cancion y Danza
I see that after the lovely set of XII Canciones y danzas that are fairly widely distributed (I have them), Mompou wrote another three--one for organ, one for guitar, and one more for piano (XIV). Alicia de Larrocha recorded it, at the very least. Does anyone have a copy, or could someone point me the right direction?
Daddi played for Liszt when he was in Portugal.HTIEKFR wrote: ↑Fri Sep 09, 2016 4:43 pm Hello
Sofia Lourenço has recorded recently portuguese music of José Vianna Da Motta and Joao Daddi

The melody of the cancion has much resemblance with the piece Catalana by Federico Longas, which I posted 4 years ago (see page 32 of this thread). Maybe it's a folk song that they both use?

Thank you for the information! It is indeed the folksong Canco del lladre.gchristian wrote: ↑Tue Jun 09, 2020 3:08 pm According to this Wikipedia page, while some of Mompou's c-y-d pieces are wholly original, this indeed *is* based on folk motifs.
