Nikolai Vasilyevich Dremlyuga (1917 - ? ). We have had a couple of his works posted on Pianophilia in the past, but he tends to be a difficult composer to track down in terms of scores [hint.....Alfred] :D Here are two rarities:

Morning on the River, A Music Picture (c.1958)
Dremlyuga N - Morning on the River, Musical Picture.pdf
Etude in C# minor from Op 9 [No. 6] (c.1949)
Dremlyuga N - Op 9 No. 6 Etude in C# minor.pdf
Malcolm

PS: as with many Soviet score the print was starting to fade in places so I have tried to improve on this through the scanning process.

Note: Other works by Dremlyuga are in the Archive.

Absolutely fantastic!!! Thank you, Malcolm.
Here is Golubev. I do have a better copy, but it's over 10MB so will upload to some site or other if possible.

Thank you Isokani for this Golubev score.......a considerable rarity [I've never been able to locate a copy until your posting].

Two smaller postings from me:

Markian Frolov (1892-1944) - we have already had the Op 1 Five Preludes, Alfor posted the Op 10 Classical Suite and I posted the magnificent Op 20 Sonata. Here is his magical Op 6 Legend.
Frolov M - Op 6 Legend.pdf
Aleksandr Ilyinsky (1859-1920) - always a difficult composer to track down. Sibley posted the Op 17 work but only Nos. 1-4 [also attached]......here is No. 5 Chanson Pastorale [just No. 6 to find to complete the set].
Ilyinsky - Op 17 Six Morceaux Nos 1-4.pdf
Ilyinsky A - Op 17 No. 5 Chanson Pastorale.pdf

Good timing there Alfred.........maybe we should aim for more joint projects ? Thank you - much appreciated, as I was missing that particular work.

Oh....and Mr P is very real....a great and treasured friend, and a member of this site, you can spot him if you but read through the threads careful :?:

I am now off for a week's break from PP...........upon my return I'll have more Russian scores to share, including what is probabaly the three rarest scores I now hold in my collection. More to be revealed. Until then.......a work by Boris Karagichev (1869-1946). Two of his pieces from the Op 3 set have been doing the rounds for years, and I was pleased when Sibley completed my request to post the whole of that opus as music by this composer had somewhat intrigued me. Alas he did not write much for piano, and finding those few scores are usually quite difficult.

Here are his Eight Azerbaijan Folksongs ** for piano....although alas 1 and 8 are missing from this set [although I am trying to obtain them as we speak].
Karagitchev - Eight Azerbaijan Folksongs Nos 2-7 (1924).pdf

** sometimes these are referred to as Eight Turkish Songs

Thank you so much Malcolm for all these rarities. I really just can't imagine the suffering waiting for those three RARE scores...Guess there's nothing to do...
Best regards, and good break.

Thank you Dani_area_51.......however, bags packed and 10 minutes to spare....what could I do but post a couple more rare works on PP to keep your fingers active over the forthcoming week [and no these are not the very rare works I mentioned].

Eugene Kapp (1908- 1996), Estonian composer. To date, Alfred had posted the Sonatina and I had posted the Tallin Pictures [after struggling to translate the index]!! Although he died fairly recently, availability of his scores is quite limited......I could only find 4 works currently in print ** - there are no current publications or expected publications of these two works.

Variations on a theme by Glinka
Kapp E - Variations on a theme by Glinka (1958).pdf
Twenty-Four Preludes
Kapp E - Twenty-four Preludes Nos. 1 - 12.pdf
Kapp E - Twenty-four Preludes Nos. 13 - 24.pdf
Malcolm

** I had scanned the Two Estonian Dances but discovered they are still in print so I will not post here, they can be obtained through Eres Editions which specialises in music from Estonia. And prices are quite reasonable too.
