Russian & Soviet Composers - Part 3

Nikolai Vasilyevich Dremlyuga (1917 - ? ). We have had a couple of his works posted on Pianophilia in the past, but he tends to be a difficult composer to track down in terms of scores [hint.....Alfred] Here are two rarities:

Markian Frolov (1892-1944) - we have already had the Op 1 Five Preludes, Alfor posted the Op 10 Classical Suite and I posted the magnificent Op 20 Sonata. Here is his magical Op 6 Legend.

I am now off for a week's break from PP...........upon my return I'll have more Russian scores to share, including what is probabaly the three rarest scores I now hold in my collection. More to be revealed. Until then.......a work by Boris Karagichev (1869-1946). Two of his pieces from the Op 3 set have been doing the rounds for years, and I was pleased when Sibley completed my request to post the whole of that opus as music by this composer had somewhat intrigued me. Alas he did not write much for piano, and finding those few scores are usually quite difficult.

Here are his Eight Azerbaijan Folksongs ** for piano....although alas 1 and 8 are missing from this set [although I am trying to obtain them as we speak].

Thank you Dani_area_51.......however, bags packed and 10 minutes to spare....what could I do but post a couple more rare works on PP to keep your fingers active over the forthcoming week [and no these are not the very rare works I mentioned].

Eugene Kapp (1908- 1996), Estonian composer. To date, Alfred had posted the Sonatina and I had posted the Tallin Pictures [after struggling to translate the index]!! Although he died fairly recently, availability of his scores is quite limited......I could only find 4 works currently in print ** - there are no current publications or expected publications of these two works.

** I had scanned the Two Estonian Dances but discovered they are still in print so I will not post here, they can be obtained through Eres Editions which specialises in music from Estonia. And prices are quite reasonable too.
