Robert edited Sonatine and Gaby edited Jeux d'eau and Gaspard (all still in print).
Also of interest: „Ma Technique Quotidienne“ („My Daily Technique“) by Gaby Casadesus (Max Eschig).

„Ma Technique Quotidienne Piano“ by Gaby Casadesus (Durand) should be of great interest.... never see it before.
Alas I guess it is still under copyright, perhaps, the first five pages is OK???

Yes, still in print and under copyright. Unfortunately I do not yet own a copy! (Price in EU is 20-25 Euros).soh choon wee wrote:...„Ma Technique Quotidienne Piano“ by Gaby Casadesus (Durand) should be of great interest.... never see it before.

Hello All,
I do own Gaby's excellent "Ma Technique Quotidienne": efficiently chosen exercises, plus a section with excerpts from French repertoire to zero in on specific difficulties. Here attached is one page from it.

Re: French Piano Music
This is, as usual, a long shot, but does anyone have anything by a "Mme Renaud-Maury". She was a member of the Société des compositeurs in the late 19th-early 20th centuries and seems to have won an award for a work for piano and orchestra...
Also, a member of the same society, Pierre Kunc also seems to have won an award for a concertante work for piano and orchestra, but I can't find any trace of this, despite there being some organ works by him on IMSLP.

A patriotic song is available on Gallica :4candles wrote:This is, as usual, a long shot, but does anyone have anything by a "Mme Renaud-Maury". She was a member of the Société des compositeurs in the late 19th-early 20th centuries and seems to have won an award for a work for piano and orchestra...

For the rest, it seems that her works are quite difficult to find :
http://web-archive-net.com/page/3618731 ... laide.html- Marie Renaud-Maury a été la première femme à obtenir un prix de composition au Conservatoire de Paris, en 1876. A part quelques courtes pièces, ses oeuvres ont disparu, notamment son Trio, joué à la Société Nationale de Musique en 1876 et 1879, ainsi que son Concerto pour piano et sa Deuxième Fantaisie symphonique pour piano et orchestre primés à la Société des Compositeurs de Musique en 1892 et 1898.
Pierre Kunc is less known than his brother Aymé Kunc. He mostly composed religious music and organ music.4candles wrote:Also, a member of the same society, Pierre Kunc also seems to have won an award for a concertante work for piano and orchestra, but I can't find any trace of this, despite there being some organ works by him on IMSLP.

Gallica has a sacred song by him :

This one page sampler is certainly testimony to the good work.....pianojay wrote:Hello All,

Could it be possible to also scan------JUST the content (inhalt) page??? I am rather intrigue by the description "plus a section with excerpts from French repertoire to zero in on specific difficulties", I am curious which repertoire was being featured. (I am not too sure if I could even ask for a page for any one of the repertoire???)

Re: French Piano Music
Dear pianojay,
Thank you for posting the contents of Gaby Casadesus' "Ma Technique Quotidienne", and that was enough for me to immediately order the score.
Dear Alfred,
The Casadesus Mirrors is a lesson on how to really mark up a score! There are a lot of valuable and useful suggestions in this. Am very glad this wasn't reduced to black & white!
Croze's overblown transcription of the Turkish March is is rather hilarious and I can put it next to Volodos version. Goodness!
Quite a treat, Alfred!
