thanks to Jean-Seb's scan we all had a chance to see Adolf Gutmann's Two Mazurkas Op.9 nr.1 and 2.
Even though scanning was done best possible ,I have decided to Typeset the scores for easier playing and I thought the music deserved it.

Yes, it does and you deserve our thanks for doing it.

Just as a note to all, the PP team has no problems with typeset scores of PD works, as long as it is recognised that in so doing people are allowing public distribution of their typeset scores (even though they retain the copyright for typesetting).

I applaud you for your recordings - they are musical and artistic. To me, it is a bit odd that purists should object to some MIDI editing after the fact - this is very similar to doing a number of takes and "splicing" together a recording from them (something most purists accept as normal for a recording!). As for using sampled instruments... if one has an instrument that can be made to sound like the "real thing", who cares? IMHO it is more important to get unknown music in a format that it can easily be heard. You have honestly stated that you are using these techniques, so you're not trying to "fool" anyone...

I've been playing with virtual instruments and performances for over 10 years now - I'm faster at it than I used to be (and a better product now too, I think). Keep up the good work!
