No, No! ---

please don't stop it.

[EDITED - for the avoidance of any doubt or uber-doubt --- it is definitely appreciated --- no need to question that]

[Further edit - oh, sorry , no umlauts on this keyboard and insufficient knowledge to use asci ? keystrokes to impose one - sorry]

tobyjj, I have to sympathize with your keyboard problems with umlauts. Recently I found that some Spanish words use an umlaut, much to my surprise, i.e., a penguin (un pingüino). It took me a while to figure out how to type that!

Not really piano music, but good nonetheless - for those who like reading original editions -

Obscure French composer Armand BOLSÈNE wrote a couple of descriptive piano pieces.

For all cooking pianophilians (isokani?).

This is non-vegetarian...but even so it does not contain any calories!

nms (alfor-edited)
...gallica scans tend to make me boiling mad...

Dear Alfor, being a vegetarian, I could only play the vegetarian pieces. Of course, there is still Mondejar Y Brocal's "2nd Barcarola" for me to enjoy if Spanish cuisine is allowed in this crowded array of French gastronomy.

I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before and Bolsène gives us some very tasty miniatures to enjoy along with our cheese plate.

Regards to you, Alfred.

Dear fleubis,

being a vegetarian myself :D I can recommend some pieces by Delvincourt, which I posted a while ago.
It appears that only Frenchmen are setting recipes to music!

best regards and bon appétit

P.S. Monsieur BOLSÈNE wrote some other descriptive/illustrative piano pieces:

Mécaniques (imitating the sounds of a factory, a car ride, a typewriter, etc,)
Silhouettes (knife grinder, snake charmer, peasants, miners, laundrywomen, sewing machines, etc.)
