Not too sure Paganini gave an English title ! Moto perpetuo is probably safer !

IMSLP has even a piano reduction by Lack.

Agreed! Menuhin famously played the Paganini original. It just as exciting on the piano as on the violin, IMHO.

Re: Composers from Germany [Misc]
I have duly edited my post - I always err on the side of caution
For your interest fleubis, there are a good many pieces by Krüger digitised at the BNE:

Thanks, 4C. Indeed there are quite a few pieces by Krüger there. He seems to specialize in transcriptions, including this little gem:

Re: Composers from Germany [Misc]
I just uploaded scanned Scores of my copies of interesting early 6 Fugues op.2 by Friedrich Kiel:
http://imslp.org/wiki/6_Fugues_for_Pian ... iedrich%29
(You can find the first recordings of Kiels Fugues op.2 directly here: http://klassik-resampled.de/kiel
and
some retyped late Fugues, Doublefugues and a Triplefugue for 4 Voices from a musical Sketchbook (SLUB http://digital.slub-dresden.de/werkansi ... /cache.off) of Felix Draeseke:
http://imslp.org/wiki/7_Fugen_zu_4_Stim ... ke,_Felix)
(I also retyped 30 of the Canons in that Sketchbook and uploaded the scores and linked my digital recordings of them likewise in the imslp, but mentioned this here in the Pianophilia Forum for Vocal musicviewtopic.php?f=19&p=30414#p30414.)
I also digitally produced recordings of all mentioned Fugues and linked them at the same imslp page (see the "free recordings")
You can directly find my recordings of Draesekes Fugues (and all other of his music I recorded mostly for the first time) here: http://klassik-resampled.de/draeseke
I hope you like that inspired (more o less) late romantic counterpoint.

Seems to have been a popular piece to transcribe in the day.fleubis wrote:Thanks, 4C. Indeed there are quite a few pieces by Krüger there. He seems to specialize in transcriptions, including this little gem:
Alkan (among others I imagine) also made a successful transcription

Re: Composers from Germany [Misc]
a lesser known piece by Gustav Lange...
Lange, Gustav-Op. 67-Zitherklange (Zither Sounds)
I am also looking for his Op. 426 - Idylle - Frühlingssänger.
Help is always appreciated!

Thank you musiclife217 for the Lange piece. It is an interesting interpretation of what a Zither might soound like.
