Hi Dani_area_51,
You're more than welcome. I guess I was born a pianomaniac, so the title fits pretty well!! There will be more...the novelty, ragtime and blues material is nearly endless in scope. I'll keep 'em coming, that's a promise!
All best,
Frank

Frank,
I've been too stunned to reply (and too busy downloading !). This is a fantastic contribution. Many of these titles have been on my list of music to chase down for ages now and many had reached the status of being almost mythical as to their existence. I never expected to actually get hold of them. Thank you very much indeed.
Incidentally, one of Reginald Forsythe's more popular pieces was called "Dodging a Divorcee" (I think). I don't know if that slipped through your scanning (or if anyone else has it). Maybe, it'll turn up in your future posts, which I personally (and selfishly) hope will never end !!
Gratefully,
tobyjj

Hi tobyjj,
I'm glad you like the posted music scores, and have a lot of fun playing through them. I do have Reginald Foresythe's "Dodging A Divorcee" and am posting it here. Throughout this project I've been scanning only original music sheets and skipping over photocopies with intention to fill in the gaps later. Some of my photocopies are going on 50 years old and are in some cases badly faded. Fortunately though the appended three Foresythe solos were still dark enough to make decent scans.
Enjoy!
Frank

...concluding now what I have on Reginald Foresythe, these scans are all from old photocopies and vary in quality, but in general should prove serviceable....

Re: School of Syncopation - Jazz, Stride, Novelties & the Like.
Reginald Foresythe's most ambitious work (to my knowledge) was "Pub Crawl - Phantasy For Piano & Orchestra." It was never published to my knowledge but I was able to find the unpublished piano score manuscript at the Library of Congress. This was back at a time when the photocopy machines ("nickel grabbers" I used to call them) were always low on toner, and gave no choice of paper size...one size fits all...always too small. So needless to say adding many years of fading on top of this, the copy I have is a bit hard to read, but still generally useful with a little musical know-how. I darkened the scans as much as possible with available software.
