Fred has found us some nice Adolf Jensen scores with wonderful calligraphy of which I am envious of, but are a severe challenge to my old eyes.
I had much better success with the Lodi's piece Alfred posted. While this is a homage to Mozart, I find it interesting the scant use of Alberti bass but with thematic material definitely reminiscent of Mozart. One expects and usually finds similarities in these homage-type pieces and it is always interesting to view other composers thoughts on same.

Anybody knows about the score for this set of variations by Max Reger "Auf Himmelfahrt Allein" op. 81?
I think the work has its ups and downs, fortunately mainly ups!

Nice recording. The score is available for free download on IMSLP.
I do not know why the title "Auf Himmelfahrt Allein" was used here. The famous (and recently often recorded) work is known and was published as „Variationen und Fuge über ein Thema von Bach“, usually labelled as „Bach-Variationen“.

The subject is from the duet in the cantata Auf Christi Himmelfahrt allein, BWV 128.

Exactly! Nevertheless Reger did not publish the work under that name!
