Hi Phillip - glad you liked the piece.
Hi JS - thanks for the extra information. The piece often precedes a song 'Aux Etoiles' by L. Denza.
Hi FW190 - thanks for the Urich pieces.

I found this on IMSLP and cleaned up the scan a bit. There are six pieces by Brinley Richards, amongst others.

does anyone still have the Schirmer salon album from the old PP (One Century of Salon Music 1850-1950)?

this was the post....

a little kitsch music.
some of the stuff in this album i quite like and used for encores. frankly, im
tempted to do an all salon recital at times.
where's the line between salon and concert style?

As the format djvu is not allowed in the new PP, here is a link to the document :

Thank you very much! I was hoping for a nice little find here, but what I see is Schirmer's The Pianist's Anthology, which may not have been widely circulating at the time. A nice collection all the same!

The Sibley copy of The Pianist's Anthology is available in PDF format.

It is still an old favourite, I have been playing it for the last 12 years at a school where it is used for dance classes, it is quite fun to play and not too easy either.
have fun
best wishes

This was published during the war. It's medley of attractive
Russian tunes, arranged by Niklas Krotsch. Enjoy!
