Jim:
Thank you so much for this Finnish Album; very original melodies.
By the way, Aarre Merikanto, son of Oskar is an extraordinary composer also.
Here is the only piano album (incomplete) by Aarre that I have.

Ilu,
Good job waving the banner for Aare! It's a very nice set. The remaining three pieces from the set are also available on PP, on page 25 of this thread.
While on the subject of Finnish modernists, Vaino Raitio wrote a real classic in the Four Color Poems (Jonathon Powell played them in London a year or so back, and his performance (or most of it: the start of the first piece is missing) can be heard in an MP3 on the amazing Unsung Composers forum. Learning them now (they're in print, from Modusmussikki) and they're extraordinary and very beautiful stuff; surely one of the greatest Finnish piano works.

Re: Scandinavian Composers
Has anyone been able to locate a copy of this or even identify it? The uploader's claim of G Dur doesn't fly as it is in G Minor. That said, it is even an etude by Schytte?Biljana wrote:Hello to all,
does anybody knows from which Opus is etude this girl is playing or even better does anybody have these sheet music by Schytte?
