Yamaha? Yah, I used to have one, switched to a Bosie, and as I'm moving out of the country soon have downsized to a piano with no wood--no worries about termites eating up the Renner action, or tuners looking for strings. :D

You are welcome!

I previously posted volume 2:

For more Strauss-Schütt see Malcolm's SCHUTT* thread!

*In German Schutt means "rubbish" (etw. in Schutt und Asche legen = "to lay sth. in ashes") - so we prefer to write it with umlaut.

Yes, it wonderful having both volumes of the Strauss-Schutt.....he is an outstanding transcriber. Did I mention how much fun these pieces are to play?

P.S.: Sorry about the missing umlaut...not easy to make on US type keyboards.

Dear Alfred, the STANCHINSKY volume you posted really has some interesting pieces. We also get to read a nice English language bio of this composer. The sonata is a really substantial piece which is surprising after what preceded it. Following the sonata we have etudes and most interesting to me, the preludes which I've been enjoying very much today.
