Dear Alfor,

Do you have any work from Paul Jeanjean (1874 – 1928)?

Best regards,
Carla

Dear Caprotti,

thank you for the scores. - Please press the "place inline" button, otherwise the files are not searchable.

Best regards

alfor

P.S. As I am not extremely fond of Salonmusik, I did neglect some scores (both on polish websites and on RSL website).
A good publisher keyword would be "Piwarski", although I am afraid that we do not have members with enough skill (or should I say criminal energy  ?) to "crack" all those interesting blocked files (Friedman, Szeluto, Rozycki, a.o.).

Alfor, I don't often post on these forums, but I just printed and played through a couple of the Melartin pieces you posted and really enjoyed them, and the thought came to me that a sizable portion of the music I play at my piano comes from the contributions you make to this site. So, I thought it would be appropriate to take just a little time to express my gratitude. Thanks, Alfor, for keeping me supplied with interesting music; I really do appreciate it.

I am sorry, but I do not have any Jeanjean scores.

Wonderful postings, Alfred. I would also express my enthusiasm for the Melartin pieces--they are very worthwhile and great fun to play.

It seems like I am forever finding "new" Liszt scores to enjoy, so I had great pleasure in working through the immensely colorful Soirees italiennes (I am sure everyone here at pianophilia is very familiar with these pieces except me, so allow me time to catch up!). How I missed these great pieces for so long, I don't know.

"zeniyama" got me thinking about how much time I spend on Alfor's postings......and all I can say is A LOT, since I usually play through nearly all Alfor's posts before returning to my "main stack" of scores and I am fortunate to I have all the time I need to play. With so many scores to play, I depend upon Alfor's "Quality Selection Filter"-- which is usually set on "High" -- for scores to enjoy, as the playing these scores interests me much more than the musicological aspects).

Hey Alfor. I have a question about a very old contribution of yours. What Soviet state-issued volume contained the Vladimir Fere piano sonata?

Here it is (pianophilia's search facility can be useful :D ):

viewtopic.php?f=46&t=559&hilit=fere

(Please don't ask me why there are four identical "versions" of my file!)
