Maybe a somewhat provincial, philistine composer. But you should try Blumenlese No. 2
(and play it 5 times in a row)!!!

I quite agree with you on FLÜGEL, Alfred. Provincial and philistine are quite the appropriate adjectives. I got quite bored with the Bluemenlese #2 after just two playing, so i didn't come close to making it to 5.

I'm definitely a "Flügel" Kind of guy, but my windows system where I collect all these score is more of a "Flugel" as it really doesn't like umlauts and when they migrate to my Mac--it doesn't care, but by then the umlauts are lost. Anyway,i will say that Herr Flügel has a piece here that seems quite a cut above the others, that being his Op.18 "Mondschein-Bilder" and I may play that again in a bit. Much fun can be had with the Kiselewski "Danse" which is more of a brilliant toccata. i note that he did write a toccata 5 years after this piece (which might be worth tracking down)..
Thanks for these postings, Alfred.

Nice little inventions by Kazuro and very un-Bach-like, but good quality material.
My goodness, that SCHÄFER Toccata is really something and quite original. it is very interesting to play even if one can't quite manage the specified tempo. I have never seen a double "inward" glissando in 6ths before....but there's one here (but thank goodness for the ossia!)
Thanks for the postings, Alfred.

Thanks for all the download links alfor, but must tell you that those wishing to download the Wieniawski will be terribly disappointed as you put the link there for the Karlowicz Prelude and Fugue as well as in its rightful place. if you could put the correct link in I am sure there will be a lot of (silently) grateful downloaders out there.
regards
Brian
