Some additions and remarks:

in my collection there are some more gaps:
op.10 Reisebilder Nr.3 missing
op.64a Efeu und Rosen missing
op.101 2 kleine Walzer Nr.1 missing

These should be available from the SBB Berlin as well as some of the opp. between 16 and 94.

The Staccato-Verlag ( http://www.staccato-verlag.de/index.php ... rs-klavier ) has published Niemann's remembrances with annotations by G. Helzel.
According to this book all the missing items with opus-numbers higher than 151 were never printed but existed only as manuscript. Maybe some of them were destroyed during WW2, maybe some of them survived somewhere. Also according to this book a dissertation about Niemann's piano works has been written in 2008 by Anke Stupnik ( http://www.europeana-local.at/index.php ... yonly&db=0 ). I tried twice to get in contact with her but did't get an answer. Perhaps she knows more about these scores in ms.

Best regards

Paul

Paul, the book does not appear to be correct as we have many Niemann pieces above Op.151 that are indeed printed, however there are gaps and those may indeed have been lost due to the war or just not discovered yet.

One of those listed by Paul as missing (and one I was missing myself but recently purchased at great expense).

Op 101 No. 1 'Doleres' Elegischen Walzer
Niemann W - Op 101 No. 1 'Dolores' Elegischer Walzer.pdf

Another Nieman for our growing collection. Thank you, Malcolm. Yes, it has been quiet here this week.
