I'm trying to catch up on some scanning during the holidays.
Piled in front of me now are Oleg Eiges Sonatas 6, 7, 8, and an album of Nazarova-Medtner. A quick search on PP and I don't see these posted up. Show me a count of interested hands and I'll scan these up.

I have copies of the sonatas (but may be new to many members) - but curious to know what works are listed in the Nazarova album, please ?

Dear Naturlaut,
I think we've seen O. Eiges sonata 1, 3, 4, 8, 9, 11, 12 around here. That means the 6 and 7 would be new ; at least to me ! I doubt there are many editions, but just in case, the one I have of the 6th is "muzika", moscow 1975. Also have the plastic etudes and the first ballade.
I'm also very interested, and (as I posted in the recording section earlier), any competent recordings of these sonatas would be so welcome !

Thank you Malcolm, the Protopopoff is a bit much for my ears but Pachulski--very nice indeed. The Prokofiev is by far the cleanest version I have. Wonderful post!

Special thanks for the Frey edition. which was missing in my collection.
Sorry to say that, but there is already a slightly cleaner scan of the Protopopoff in the "Archived Scores" thread:

The Pachulski is nicely fingered by Max Vogrich, who once was famous for his own "Staccato Caprice",
a fairly difficult study in right-hand staccato double-notes.

Staccato double-notes? I have enough trouble with legato double notes!
