Re: Music for Violin & Piano
Here's another volume that features pedagogical works from all over the Russian/Soviet territory. Most of the pieces are adaptations or excerpts from larger works. Here's a version of the Ayusheyev piece, played on chanza and piano:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xfr9WzEO7os
The Russian library listing that I used to find the title called it 'vol. 1', but I've not come upon any other volumes in the series.
Musical Geography, vol. 1 - Works by Composers of the RSFSR, for violin and piano (1974)
Yuri Alexandrovich SHAPORIN - Concertino (basis of the first and third movements of the Joke Suite 'Blok', for orchestra)
Sergei Sergeyevich PROKOFIEV - Waltz of the Diamonds (from the ballet 'The Stone Flower')
Dmitry Dmitriyevich SHOSTAKOVICH - Lullaby Song (based on no. 10 of Aphorisms, op. 13)
Mikhail Ivanovich CHULAKI - Russian Dance (Plyaska) (from the ballet 'The Tale of the Pope and his Worker Balde')
Tikhon Nikolayevich KHRENNIKOV - Revolutionary March (from the opera 'Mother')
Georgy Vasilyevich SVIRIDOV - Sad Song (from Children's Album, for piano)
Georgy Vasilyevich SVIRIDOV - March (from Children's Album, for piano)
Edison Vasilyevich DENISOV - Allegretto (from the Sonatina for violin and piano)
Shchedrin - Duettino (from the ballet 'The Little Humpbacked Horse')
Lauri Karlovich IOUSINEN (Karelia) - Karelian Lullaby (no bio available)
Nikolai Ivanovich PEIKO (PEYKO) - From Yakutian Legend (from the symphonic cycle 'Pieces (7) on USSR Folk Themes')
Andrei Yakovlevich ESHPAI (Mari El) - Melody & Dance
Mikhail A. ALEKSEEV (ALEKSEYEV) (Chuvashia) - Scherzo (second movement of the Suite for oboe and piano, from 'Chuvash Melodies' cycle)
Farid Zagidullovich YARULLIN (Tatarstan) - Duet (from the ballet 'Shurale')
Khaliq (Khalik) Shakirovich ZAIMOV (Bashkortostan) - Prelude (from the cycle 'Preludes (8) for piano')
Dandar Dampilovich AYUSHEYEV (AYUSHEEV) (Buryatia) - Khantarma
Alexey Boktayevich CHYRGAL-OOL (Tuva) - Melody (fragment from the symphonic poem 'Aldan Maadyr') (bio at https://translate.google.com/translate? ... %25D1%2587 )
violin solo:
Sergei Artemyevich AGABABOV (Dagestan) - Improvisation (from the Suite, for violin)
