The Menuet is from Deux Pieces published by Leduc in 1924 .

The other work is from a Suite Miniature unknown to me until only a week ago - managed to purchase No. 5 Valse pour une fillette - and I am currently trying to locate the remaining pieces.

Apologies - not fantastic copies as both very large and very delapidated scores (plus, I could do with a bigger scanner) !

Thanks, Malcolm--two nice pieces. The BNF holds the Suite Miniature--perhaps you could request one of their impressionistic scans.

I put in the request for these works [Eiges & Ziring].........hopefully a few more may appear over the next few weeks [there are about 30 works in total I have requested from from Sibley, although a few may be classified as in copyright depending of US regulations].

Excellent. I had thought all of the copyright free items from their collection had already been digitized--it's nice to see more items available.

A small collection of pieces by Vladimir Ziring. The scan looks familiar but I didn't find it through the search engine. Apologies if a repost. (NMS)

Four Miniatures, Op.24; Melody, Op.25 no.1; Snowflakes, Op.25 No.2.

as a curiosity, does anyone have the solo piano version of the Behr piece that Rachmaninoff based his Polka de W.R. on? It was Franz Behr's Op. 303.

Hi musiclife217,

Glad you asked the question - musicaneo.com has this
polka. It also seems to be on cameralmusic.pl.
I downloaded the file from musicaneo and renamed it.
Hope nobody minds a German composer's music in
this Russian thread.

Sad to say, the once-common sight of turtle doves here
in the UK is now a thing of the past.

Regards, Tim.
