Jim F has asked the question of the hours: Is the "Bolzano" sonata re-discovered or a first-ever publication. If it's not a first ever publication, then there is a chance it can be found an appear in Pianophilia. I must say the audio link to this sonata at Amazon is really captivating and I'd expect this sonata to become popular.

FYI, this sonata existed in two forms, a manuscript copy in a Franciscan monastery in Bolzano, and modern edition by WU.

[We don't have a Haydn thread, or?]

Here comes a transcription for 2h of Haydn's Missa in Bb. The score is titled Missa in B flat No.1, but the work is more famous under the title Missa sancti Bernardi de Offida or with the German title Heiligmesse (Hob. XXII:10). Haydn used the tune of a then popular Austrian hymn called "Heilig, heilig" in the Sanctus of the Missa. It is the second of the six so called Große Messen by Haydn. The transcription was made by Edward Francis Rimbault (1816-1876), an English musicologist and organist. Published by d'Almaine in London, the score is not dated but c. 1870 should fit.

Many thanks FW190 for this file!
Sadly, apart from The Creation, not many of Haydn's other
religious works appear to be available in piano solo form,
which is partly why this is so welcome.
IMSLP has 5 Handel/Rimbault 2H transcriptions (Acis &Galatea,
The Messiah, Samson, Israel in Egypt, and Judas Maccabaeus),
which were uploaded by yours truly, where I guesstimated the
date of publication slightly earlier at 1850.

Thanks for your interest.
Of course I know the Händel and Haydn transcriptions of Rimbault hosted on IMSLP , I have finally made the pdfs ;-)
I have Papa Haydn's famous Nelson Missa in a Rimbault transcription, too. Maybe I'll find time for it next week ...

The Nelson Mass would, of course, be most welcome! :-)

I've been listening to Alexander Frey's rendition of the first movement from Korngold's Don Quixote suite on Youtube:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M64SNVcAHso
The version played is highly embellished and contains a number of differences (e.g., rhythmic variations of thematic material) from the currently available score (Schott, 1995). Is this embellishment the performer's own work or might there be another edition? Thanks.

Emil von Reznicek's Zwei Phantasiestücke für Clavier and Ernster Walzer. These are the files from IMSLP: I gave them a quick cropping and minor contrast adjustment at the request of a colleague.
