Rudolph Hasert (1826-1877). German pianist. Unfortunately can seem to find little information on him beyond that owing to muscular pain in his right hand so he could ony perform works for left hand for a period, and composed this work - Fantaisie du Bravour sur l'air 'Casta Diva' de Bellini - for left hand.

Theodore Oesten (1813 – 1870) German composer, musician, and music teacher. Oesten was born and died in Berlin. He learned to play wind and string instruments from the Stadtmusikus in Fürstenwalde (a small town outside Berlin). At the age of nineteen he studied composition with Böhmer, Rungenhagen, Schneider, and A. W. Bach in Berlin. He is best remembered for his easy to play piano compositions, including transcriptions of operatic works, written in the sentimental style of his day. His son Max also became a composer.
