The reason for giving it such a formal title, with the key, a made-up opus no. and
an unneccessary ordinal no., was simply that Debussy was making fun of the classical
and romantic composers who always gave their sting quartets this sort of title.

Should better have asked you before doing unneccessary labour! (My fault was overlookíng the "Arrangements and Transcriptions" button  )

How about the piano solo transcription of Henselt's Piano Concerto? This is definitely NOT on imslp!

P.S. What about the 45 downloaders so far? Shall I assume that they like my scan better

DITO
Hermann SCHOLTZ
Varitionen über eine Norwegische Weise für Pianoforte op. 27
Scholtz Variationen op.27.pdf
S.'s idiom is very easily accessible - sometimes implying that he is writing "ad usum delphini".

For some more "Hermännle" search http://www.scorser.com

...and best regards to all magpies...

Thanks Caprotti...! Nice to have both the famous quartets from this period in a piano arrangement. Went to my electric keyboard today and tuned it to the pitch of the recording and enjoyed playing both these quartets with the CD's....that is great fun---as long as you are in tune!

Alfor thanks for the SCHOLTZ Variations. I have a soft spot for Norwegian folk tunes and this one is one in my book of folk songs. While the harmony is rather pedestrian, they are well written, and really sound well.

The quality of the works you find for us is just one reason why I download everything you post.
