Pianophilia

We've seen a number of works by this composer, who also worked as an editor for the state publishing house and enjoyed an above-average exposure to works and composers from Western Europe and elsewhere. A short bio can be found at:

Here is another short set of pieces written on Bulgarian themes. He had previously explored that country's melodies in his op. 37 (available in a concert piece volume previously posted by Alfor):

We've previously seen a pretty large collection of selected piano works by this composer. I'm pretty sure this small set of preludes were not included in that one (though there's a different set of five 'concert' preludes). Bio at:

Ha, I should have looked at more than just the first of those concert preludes! Oh well...now there's two editions.

Judging by the bio, he was not a very prolific piano writer. Alfor posted the other of his two piano fugues, that one being based on a theme by Litinsky (in Concert Pieces no. 3). Though the bio says he was born in the southwest of Kyrgyzstan, everything else I could find pointed towards him being a fixture in the Tatar music establishment. He also worked for the publishing house in the late 1960s-early 1970s, which might be why this piece was included in a 1972 issue:
