Bartok Sonatina (from original shellac, recorded early 1950s)
this is a tape recording, but up to the early 1960s
many recordings were issued both on LP and on shellac!

Re: Alfor's Rarities - Recordings
Stefan ASKENASE may be called the true heir of his teacher Emil Sauer.
A noble player with an exquisite touch.
In later years he specialized in Chopin (especially recommended: Nocturnes & Polonaises).
His debut in the 1920s at the Salzburg Festival was with Prokofiev's 3rd piano concerto!
Polonaise op. 26,2 - this again is a tape recording from early 1950's, pressed on shellac!

Louis KENTNER
Liszt: Hungarian Rhapsody No. 9 (Carnival in Pest); from original shellac
K. was one of the finest Liszt players
(unfortunately his late turnabout recordings are
rather badly engineered and do him no justice)
