I thought I'd already collected at least one recording of every work that Mendelssohn that ever composed, so it was with considerable surprise that I recently stumbled across 'his' unfinished Symphony No.6 in C major. A recording and background information about this work are given here:

Australian version of The Piano uncovered a pianist DJ recovering from a stroke, performing a one-handed version of Babajanyan's Vagharshapat Dance.

A not uninteresting transcription by Klindworth of the magnificent WAM Requiem. At the same time, however, it proves that transcriptions of some pieces are hardly possible without losing many very important details. This is particularly evident in the Introitus:
