Thanks, but Leopoldo Miguez (9 September 1850 – 6 July 1902) was a Brazilian composer. Although he lived in Spain from two to seven years old, when he moved to Porto (Portugal).
regards.

Of course he is! I was searching stuff in both forums (Brazil and Spain/Portugal) and ended posting in the wrong one.

Hi all,

Here's a piano piece from a (almost) unkown portuguese composer: Emílio Lami (1834-1911).
Lami, Emílio - Devaneio (pf).pdf
Enjoy

By the way...is there anywhere at PP information about an easy method to improve the quality of a scan like this one? (converting orange color pages to b&w, for example). Thanks.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=czDDu7-Dai8
and i'd very curious to see some piano music of Daddi
Thanks
Here you have. It only took me 4 years to respond!
As I told you, he played with Liszt in Lisbon at February 15th of 1845, Thalberg's "Fantasia" for two pianos over Bellini's "Norma"

Here is his Etude Caractéristique "Il Lamento":

Hi all,

Here is Alfredo Napoleão's "Andante et Polonaise", Op.27 for piano (with 2nd piano ad lib.) with an inscription by the composer:

(in portuguese, my translation)
"To my distinguished friend and disciple, the Saint ? José de Castro.
Alfredo Napoleão offers this souvenir.
October 18th
1885"

I hope you enjoy this one.
This copy belonged to Maestro Ivo Cruz and has also an inscription saying that, previously was from "Condessa de Rezende" (Rezende's Countess).

Hi all,

(Francisco de) Freitas Gazul (1842-1925) was a portuguese composer and teacher.
He wrote several pedagogical works for his students of the National Conservatory of Music (Lisbon) that are still largely used today.

Here is a Polka from his Opereta "A Noiva" (the Bride)
Gazul, Freitas - A Noiva (alt) (pf).pdf
