Hello everyone,

On Leonid Sabaneyev's Wikipedia page, there is a "sonata for violin and piano" included in a list of his compositions. Does anyone know if this is correct, and if so, if there is existing sheet music for the piece?

Thanks in advance!

Hello MarcelDuchampignon

Yes, there is a violin sonata listed, along with the Op 18 Melody for violin and piano, and the Op 20 Sonata for Violin, Cello & Piano............I have it listed in my collection index but irritatingly I can not seem to locate a copy. Apparently it was published by Belaieff. I also checked RSL, Glinka and Moscow Conservatoire, and nothing is listed. I'll keep looking and will let you know if I discover anything.

Hopefully Isokani or Parag on Pianophilia may see this as they are more an expert on Sabaneyev, and may be able to advise...........or hopefully another member might have a copy.

Malcolm
