Uwe Korn, born in Stuttgart on 20.01.1962, studied piano at the Aachen Musikhochschule (with Michael Rische) from 1982 to 1984 and at the Stuttgart Musikhochschule (with Edgar Trauer) from 1984 to 1987. In addition, he undertook composition and music theory studies at the Trossingen Musikhochschule (with Helmut Cromm) from 1990 to 1995.
Living in South Germany, Uwe Korn works as a music teacher, pianist and composer. He has published numerous compositions, arrangements and educational editions (also together with his wife, the composer Elena Malycheva).

The spectrum of his works as a composer and arranger ranges from piano to symphonic music, with a special focus on jazz music as well as on music for teaching purposes for all ages.
