This document from the ANL contains links to several Karayev scores.

Most have already been shared in one form or another. Here's a rotated copy of the 12 Fugues ...and a cropped copy of the Eskiz.

Thanks kroket and Jim Faston for the Qarayev contributions! Don't forget that this record of piano and violin/piano works is being released next month.

Some Jovdat Hajiyev from the ANL. They also have a scan of the Sonata, but Alfor's is much better.

Several recordings of the Ballada exist on YouTube—here's a nice one:

Here's a piano reduction of a modern Armenian ballet. What I've heard of Aristakesyan's music makes me feel like his style (liberal use of dissonance, clusters, ritualistic repetition) would work well on the stage or screen. His second symphony dates from around the same time and can be heard at:

Emin Aspetovich ARISTAKESYAN (ARISTAKESIAN) (Armenia)
Prometheus, ballet in two parts (1976) (piano reduction)

The scan of Eduard Bagdasaryan 's 24 Preludes from piano.ru that has been circulating forever is missing page 64.

Anyone with an alternate scan or even just the missing page? Thanks.
Here's a YouTube playlist containing all 24 by Mikael Ayrapetyan:

Uzeyir Hajibeyov (Hajibeili) - Without you ("Sansiz"), romance with the words of Nizami; was composed in 1943 in Baku, Azerbaijan. Then the teacher of the Baku conservatory Georgy Burshtein composed this transcription for piano solo published in 1966, Baku (the file).

Thank you so much for posting this - it is really fascinating to see Soviet-era piano transcriptions of this repertoire. Burshtein was obviously a skilled transcriber, and I wonder if he did any more work like this.Crow wrote:Uzeyir Hajibeyov (Hajibeili) - Without you ("Sansiz"), romance with the words of Nizami; was composed in 1943 in Baku, Azerbaijan. There is also a second romance by Gadzhibekov (Hajibeyov) - "Beloved" (az. "Sevgili Janan"); there were two romances written on the text of Nizami gazelles. Burshtein also wrote this transcription; I'll scan it in the next week.
