Timtin wrote:There's a nice piano arrangement of Bach's Organ Fantasie BWV 572 here:-

Another one of Gryaznoff's most excellent transcriptions. For some reason this organ fantasy seems to rarely transcribed.

No one seems to have mentioned the astonishing "2 Preludes on a Sonate for Solo Violin" by J.S. Bach by Riccardo Pick-Mangiagalli. #2 on the E Major violin partita is a hoot and very clever. http://imslp.org/wiki/2_Preludes_on_a_S ... _Riccardo) (There is a really memorable de-rangement of this partita by Lucas Foss in his Baroque Variations for orchestra.)

Another fun and surprising set is Edward MacDowell's "Six Little Pieces after J. S. Bach," in which he gussies up some of the little Bach pieces we all played in our earliest studies. http://imslp.org/wiki/6_Little_Pieces_a ... l,_Edward). I recorded his version of the familiar G major minuet fro my YouTube channel a year or so ago. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mapgRe03JHo

And seconded! I certainly never expected to see a 2H version of a 2 violin concerto and that's a rather extraordinary transcription. The great leaps in the parts present their own challenges on the keyboard.
