Thank you for the attempt, but, let's be honest, this score is not practicable... should I work on the other pieces for the better resolution? And, yes, I noticed this as a unique set, especially by the lovely Mr. Baines. The F#m Etude has been recorded, but not the others, I believe.

Ask almost anyone in Britain with a bit of knowledge about classical music
to name a British composer starting with Hol- and they'll say Holst.
Unfortunately, very few folk have even heard of Holbrooke.

Looking at the latter's list of works, almost every opus number corresponds
to two or more different compositions. One piano piece I've tried to track
down is his 'Wasps', which Holbrooke himself recorded. Is it contained within
one of his sets of pieces? If so, which set? If anyone can help narrow down the
search, and perhaps even locate the score, it would be much appreciated.

Good quality copies of Baines scores held at the BL can be ordered using their online thingy.

Years ago I wanted a copy of Baines Poeme for Piano and Orchestra, but they declined, as for manuscripts I needed the permission of the Copyright holder. When I asked who the Copyright holder was, they eventually wrote back to me and said they were and they eventually sent me a copy of the Poeme which I believe was based on the Etude mentioned above.

Finding out any information about Harold Wallis is not easy!

All I know is that he was active soon after WW1 and wrote 'Evening Sketches'
and 'Lyric Fancies', both for piano, as well as this work:-
