Hello,

Is there someone here who would like to share the Von Borck - Piano Concerto sheet music? A 4H reduction if possible.

Cheers

I did approach Schott for a copy of this, but regretfully, they never responded.

I guess as it is for hire only you need to be planning a performance to get it.

Thanks for your reply Thal.

Do you think a friendly reminder to Schott for the copy could work?

I will have a word with Eric from Eric''s music shop and see what he can come up with.

It might only be available in the Fatherland.

Is anyone aware of what is coming up next in Hyperion's The Romantic Piano Concerto series?

I have asked not to be advised any more as I am the worst person in the World at keeping a secret.

However, I think one of them starts with an M.

Tease tease.

Thal's right, one of them does start with an 'M', and there are enough clues throughout this site for you to work out what it might be. But there are three more, I think, before that one if the schedule goes to plan. For commercial reasons I'm less happy about giving out the details than I was before but I can say that one of them is a further disc of Herz. The parts for the four works on it were so hard to locate that I can't imagine any rival record label ever finding them!

By the way, for those of you who know me, I no longer work at Hyperion, so it remains to be seen what happens after the four discs referred to above, which were that last projects I put together. It may be that I will continue with some involvement in the series - we shall see.

just a general question... I know that a number of them have been recorded, but does anyone know if Hyperion is planning to explore known or unknown concertos by FEMALE composers???? I notice that there are ZERO great female composers of the 19th Century represented in the catalogue!

Excellent news as the Hopekirk is an absolute belter.

Had a go at it meself, but my technique is pretty crap.
