Alfor's Rarities

Thanks to all for your responses to my query... Alfred, I wasn't looking for a fingered edition of these. Just curious because I had only seen one edition. To be honest, I am sad that there isn't a Phillip edition (which I personally find very appealing).

Op.12 No.2 and Op.14 No.2 are probably amongst my most favourite Scriabin pieces, if I had to pick two.

It is not (yet) complete, though!! Only 5 volumes so far. Pieces like Impromptus, etc. are still missing!

Alfor is the expert.... i go by memory.

Anyone else has seen that edition (Zen-on), any comments.... my impression is that it suits smaller hands (i am under the delusion that most Zen-on edition suits younger and smaller hands)..... but i am always impress with their way of re-distribution of hand use.

I like to hear the expert comment.

Other than Kornauth Felix PETYREK surely was under the spell of his teacher Schreker.
This work is more influenced by Reger than by Schreker, though.
While Kornauth had found his own way as early as with his first opus,
Petyrek was much more of an experimenter, his oeuvre being much more inconsistent.

PETYREK sure sounds like Reger to my ears also, Alfor. Nice full thick textures and counterpoint reminiscent of Reger and very unlike his 3rd Sonata. I find it a very nice piece. Thanks for posting this.

Very mildly contemporary. Mainly written in a neo-romantic style,
at parts completely tonal.
