In his monumental op.600 (School of practical composition) Czerny proposes as an exercise an arrangement 2H of the first movement of K.381, followed by his own "view" of the sonata , i.e. how it should sound in a more modern way (!)

Thank you very much, Caprotti!
Highly interesting, especially the bit where Czerny turns the sonata around.
Reminds me a bit like playing on the left handed piano
on the music fair in Frankfurt ages ago.
I tried Il Sospiro (d flat major), out came d sharp minor -
but also a very nice beginning :-)

Thanks again,
Arglmann

Does anyone have the transcription by Saltykov of the "Lacrimosa" from Mozart's Requiem?

Here's a recording by Yudida:

I'd be very interested to see, if one exists, a piano transcription of Mozart's Ein Musikalischer Spaß.

Here is a copy of Grigory Ginzburg's transcription of The Barber of Seville. The copyright is listed as 1953, but as far as I can tell, in 1953 Russian copyright stipulated that copyright only extended 15 years past the death of the author. If this is incorrect I'll take this down.

I would REALLY like to get ahold of Ginzburg's transcription of In the Hall of the Mountain King if anybody has it. Thanks a bunch!

Many thanks for the Ginsburg's transcriptions. If there's no copyright issue, I'll make the pdf of the Grieg-Ginsburg Mountain King within this week and post it here.
