Sinding's piece was written only in 1896. I know two "Waldesrauschen", one by Liszt and the other charming one by Braungardt. Both largely predate Sinding.

Ah Yes - my piece is the same Braungardt you refer to and I always wondered who was imitating whom (just too lazy [or busy] to do any proper research). Thank you for the link.
The List-Stradal transcriptions are luscious morsels written in true Lisztian style and much more interesting than the fairly simple List-Singer. Here Stradal gives us real concert material--which I have had great fun with today. Alas for the incomplete "Die drei Zigeuner" --lets hope the missing page(s) turn up someday, as it is an interesting transcription.

...there is only one way that the missing page(s) turn up (these transcriptions are rare and I did not yet locate them in a german library!):
Please send an e-mail to the RSL (ndav@rsl.ru) and ask them to scan the missing page(s). If they get a dozen inquiries there is a much better chance that they will do it!!!

Yes indeed. So I guess you are about to order paper copies from SBB (quite reasonable priced with 0,20 Euro per page plus postage.) You then surely want to share with all pianophilians and I can only say thank you very much in advance!

The main problem with SBB isn't the cost but their very slow delivery time and
the very messy way they have of taking payments from non-Euro countries.
Btw, I'm still not sure who wrote that flute sonata.

No problem at all! Tell me what you want and I will order it. I will keep the paper copies and you will get hires scans. We share the cost (delivery within Germany is much quicker and postage is only marginal).
