Thank's a lot, too. These are wonderful gems of partly unknown composers - but worth for learning and playing. A great week by you!

Thank you for feedback!

Dear fellow pianophilians, the hunt is open for everybody (who is interested in polish music):

Regarding physical contact with polish libraries, our dear member

Dear sgambatiesque,

I was quite surprised that in the Soviet Union of the 1920s such "bourgeois" material was published!
That's why I posted this RSL scan.

Wow! A real showpiece in that Strauss-Goldstein and very well done--and on a waltz I'm not familiar with. Great fun for all!

Alfred, I take great joy in encountering Bach transcriptions and the Bach-Wilschau version of the Chaconne is one that is certainly way over the top and very imaginative. I think the most accurate one is Siloti's, but still my favorite is still the Busoni and I never tire of playing this version. I never, ever tire of hearing and playing the Chaconne....my favorite Bach.

You also supplied us with a most interesting Bach transcriptions collection---adding a few more transcriptions I've not seen before. Bach is so timeless.....any form will do, but specially one for us pianophiliacs.

Thanks for these postings, Alfred.
