Thanks Alfor. Enjoyed the Gebhardt a lot. Immediately got a copy of his Klavierstuecke (New Tales Jazz Suite and Paprika-Fox) too and became a big fans. Thanks for introducing such wonderful Jazz music.

Two conservative composers today (Frank will appreciate both
):
Friedrich GERNSHEIM
Variationen C moll op. 22 (clearly influenced by Beethoven's c minor variations)

Wilhelm STENHAMMAR (1871-1927)
Tre fantasier op. 11 (1895) somewhat naive but warmly felt "nordic" style

Hi Alfor,
A long overdued thanks for posting the Yakushenko Sonata and especially the Naigryshi suite a while ago. Do you have also the Concerto? From the little I know about the composer, his Concerto is said to be among his best works? There is also a Toccata Fantasy, right?

Re: Alfor's Rarities
Dear Alfred,
Great postings for great weekend fun at the piano! I love the Stenhammar Fantasies, especially the first one in B Minor. What gorgeous piano writing. And anything by Gernsheim is always much loved here.
I still have his Fantasie und Fuge Op. 76b on the piano from one of your previous postings! The Variations are so masterfully crafted; had the composer only written these two works I would still say he was a genius. As always, thank you so much for these wonderful treasures, much appreciated!!
All Best,
Frank
(and P.S. to phikfy- I'm so glad you enjoy the Gebhardt pieces too!)
