Percy GRAINGER
Paraphrase on Tchaikovsky's "Flower-Waltz" (Nutcracker Suite)
Grainger Paraphrase on Tchaikovsky's Flower-Waltz.pdf
T. is a far better field for G.'s art of transcribing (paraphrasing) than Schubert ( :? ) or Brahms ( )

Thank you, Alfor. Much fun to be had in this latest Franck installment. Looks like he took every short piece he could find and stuffed it into Op.43 resulting in all these wonderful volumes.

And just when I thought I had a complete Grainger collection, comes this surprise transcription of T. -- what glorious bombast!
Op. XXXIX

Many thanks alfor. I've long enjoyed Martin Jones's recording of the Grainger -what delightful bombast- and now a pleasure to have the score!

Dedicated to generous Malcolm (a.k.a. Sir M.)

Otto HEGNER (Swiss pianist, 1876-1907; child prodigy)
Suite (quasi "im alten Style", but pianistically good and
with enough fine ideas to make it a pleasure to sight-read)
