Here's the last (and maybe one of the best) of the Ernst Fischer works. This very large folio contains compositions by Carl Robrecht, outstandingly arranged by Ernst Fischer.

Enjoy! :D

Hello Frank, Luigi, Martin, Malcolm and all,

Frank - Fantastic as ever - I'm just stunned at the sheer volume of material in your collection. Some I have, some I've only vaguely heard of or seen references to on the back of other "popular sheets" and a lot I had never even heard of -- I'm absolutely loving this.

Incidentally the Klickman "Hop, Skip and Jump" is one of the pieces in the Klickman folio you posted the other day - I've tried playing this and can't get the opening to sizzle! - for the "Allegro Moderato" marking what would you recommend as a metronome speed ... and should it be played as written or are the opening bars to be "swung" or dotted? It isn't speaking to me yet!

I can't possibly match your collection for uploading, (wish I could), but I have reviewed the postings in this forum. I don't know if there is an archive of material posted to the previous PhiPi (?), but if so I do not have access to it, having joined only relatively recently. Of the previous 64 pages in this forum, however, of the huge quantity of Mayerl that has been posted there are still a few gaps and whilst many people may already have the missing pieces, some may not - so I will try and post these up.

I note that you intend in your generous marathon scanning and uploading exercise to deal with many of the numerous Mayerl transcriptions / arrangements in due course - I am missing many of these so whenever they arrive I'll be snapping them up. I note that Oren also has a quantity of them and Struwelpeter too. Perhaps we can relieve your scanning hours by putting up what we already have ?

I'll make a start:
Mayerl_Penny_Whistle.pdf
Mayerl_-_puppets.pdf
Mayerl_-_Shy_Ballerina.pdf
Mayerl_Leprachaun's_Leap.pdf
Mayerl_-_sleepy_piano.pdf
If any of these have in fact been previously posted, I apologise - but I think they haven't.

More to come

Regards,
tobyjj
