Scriabin, his circle and his influence
Good evening!
This is a thread devoted to Scriabin, his immediate circle (Kreins, Drozdovs, Bekman-Shcherbina, Sabaneyev etc), and those whom he directly influenced (too many to mention just here). It is, in essence, a subsection of the mighty Russian and Soviet Composers thread; so here these musicians will have a dedicated area for themselves. Of course, it is widely acknowledged that Scriabin's influence operated not just within his own country: Saar's Preludes (posted in the Baltic area by relative) bear witness to this -- several are deliberate acts of hommage that use very similar material.
I start the thread with a rarely heard and rather lovely mature Scriabin piece, his sketches for the Acte Prealable, and his son's preludes.

Re: Scriabin, his circle and his influence
Thank you isokani for starting this extremely valuable thread.
Here's a quick checklist of the followers of Scriabin as detailed by the Australian composer/musicologist Larry Sitsky. The list is simply his list of chapters in his book 'Music of the Repressed Russian Avant-Garde, 1900-1929'. The spellings are of course Sitsky's - many variants are possible.
The Precursors
Vladimir I. Rebikov: The Inventor of Whole-Tone Music
Aleksei V. Stanchinskiy: The Diatonic Webern
The Big Three
Nikolai A. Roslavets: The Russian Schoenberg
Aleksandr V. Mosolov: The Man of Steel
Arthur V. Lourie: The Decadent Out of Place
The Smaller Five
Leonid A. Polovinkin: The Partial Avant-Gardist
Vladimir V. Shcherbachev: Old Wine in New Vessels
Lev K. Knipper: Wind from the West
Boris N. Liatoshinski: The Passionate Slav
Vladimir M. Deshevov: The Man of the Theater
The Reluctant Avant-Gardists
Samuil E. Feinberg: The Post-Scriabin Pianist
Anatoliy N. Aleksandrov: The Post-Rachmaninovian
Boris A. Aleksandrov: Son of the Composer of the Soviet Anthem
The Jewish School
Aleksandr A. Krein: Voice in the Wilderness
Grigoriy A. Krein: Toward Assimilation
Yulian G. Krein: Precocious Cosmopolitan
Aleksandr M. Veprik: The Ukrainian Bartok and Bloch
Mikhail F. Gnessin: The Jewish Glinka
Composers in Exile
Ivan A. Vyshnegradsky: Microtones
Nikolai Obukhov: Mystic Beyond Scriabin
losif M. Schillinger: Gershwin's Teacher
Aleksandr N. Tcherepnine: Suave Internationalist
Musicologists and Transients
Sergei V. Protopopov: The Post-Scriabin Composer
Leonid L. Sabaneev: Would-be Scientist Becomes Critic
Dmitriy M. Melkikh: Rhapsodist
Gavrill N. Popov: Contrapuntalist
Aleksei S. Zhivotov: Notorious for One Piece

Re: Scriabin, his circle and his influence
I think if I was going to be very particular, I would select the above for not being particularly (or at all) influenced by Scriabin. Some were influenced by him in that they wrote music that was a type of counterexample, as it were. I find Sitsky's few-word descriptions a bit sad.rob wrote: Aleksandr V. Mosolov: The Man of Steel
