Thanks, Caprotti, for these !! Wow, what stuff. Sometimes it might have something sadistic for a composer to write a lax "Con moto" above his crap !Caprotti wrote:I can add this set, not less difficult, ms

Thanks, Caprotti for the Op.52. This is really an unusual set. There are many 10ths to span for my small hands, but thankfully some helpful suggestion on how to handle them in parenthesis. The sound of them belies the squareness of the meter. Quite amazing and greatly welcomed and appreciated. Many unexpected and surprising figurations.

Malcolm, thanks for the new Blanchet - a nice holiday surprise. And Caproti, thank you for scrubbing down the Variations. They needed it.

Ah! The missing Op.42 Etudes of Blanchet....what a wonderful surprise. Thank you Mr. P & Malcolm. Blanchet's various etudes have been a wonderful discovery for me this year. It is great to have such musically original and often technically challenging pieces to play. And these two pieces fit that description nicely. A million thanks to all the contributors! You made this thread full of life and you provoked such interest for Blanchet's work that I believe we are going to see a major revival of him in PP the next few months. As about the etudes, I can easily say that are the most ambitious, varied and original opuses of Blanchet's production. Too bad pianists seem to don't know even their existance...

Delius, I couldn't agree with you more. We are all extremely grateful to all the contributors to this thread. Let's hope the pianistic world wakes up to the wonderful legacy Blanchet has left us.delius1995 wrote:A million thanks to all the contributors!
